Lossless cut copies compressed streams without re-encoding — fast and identical quality, but only works at friendly cut points (keyframes). Re-encoded trim (standard cutter) re-encodes the selection — slower, but precise arbitrary in/out points and smaller exports when compressing. MBox offers both: lossless-cut for quick trims on long files, and the visual trimmer when you need frame-accurate edits or size reduction.
